Coffee Anyone?

For my W.I.P. Wednesday...

No quilting this week but rather, I've been teaching myself how to hand embroider. I started with this little fella...

And I think I'll add his friends "Mr. Decaf" and "Mr. Donut"...

I think I might be addicted :)

  1. Love it! I recently rediscovered embroider and find it quite addictive. What are you going to make out of your creation?

    1. Thanks! It's a free pattern from Wild Olive. She has the cutest patterns ever!

      Here's a link to the pattern: http://wildolive.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/coffee-week-embroidery-patterns.html.

    2. Thanks! I have done tons of cross stitch, but the last thing I embroidered was something in home ec class (I think). I need to figure out what I need....like what do I use to transfer the pattern to my fabric?

  9. I normally just trace my pattern onto my fabric using a water soluable pen. Some patterns come with iron on transfers that you can re-use or I know that some folks use just regular pencil. Wild Olive has a post on transferring patterns that you might find useful too: http://wildolive.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/embroidery-basics-transferring-pattern.html.
